During these times, it’s extra important to fill our news feeds with some pieces of positivity. The darkness can feel heavy and overwhelming. As important as it is to remain aware, it is equally as important to take care of ourselves. Change begins within, keep watering the goodness in yourself and watch it grow.
I wanted to share some news that reminds you of the many, many good people. Let’s work together to build this positive spiral up.
In Ireland, a truck driver saw a burning building. He drove the truck next to the window of the building allowing people to jump from the window onto the roof of the truck.
After becoming friendly with people on his route, a mail carrier adopted the dog of a Vietnam veteran after he passed away.
After 40 years of not using CPR, a woman saved the life of a 15-year-old who was experiencing cardiac arrest.
A man who had his legs and hands amputated at 12-years-old, received a hand transplant at 29-years-old.
A man (along with a group of people surrounding him), stood beneath the window of a burning building. They caught a baby from the third story window after the mother had to toss her baby to safety- both the mother and baby escaped the fire unharmed.
7 firemen were able to lift a 700-pound boulder off of a man being crushed underneath it. With only spending 2 days in the hospital for observation, the man survived.
There is good news out there too, I promise.
Keep filling your days with pieces of happiness. Remember to search for goodness if it isn’t easy to find. Soak in the moments of small smiles you share with strangers. Bask in the sound of laughter. Listen to stories from people with a high moral compass. Enjoy the moments of happiness without immediately replacing them with fear. Fill you heart with love and with hope.
Energy is contagious. Let’s let our love outshine the hate. & together we can remember how beautiful the world really is.
Keep shining light on the beauty of life & you will see it everywhere,
Gab
